OUR MISSION
The Bay Area Advertising Relief Committee (BAARC) is a nonprofit organization providing emergency financial support and other key resources for our colleagues in the nine county Bay Area advertising and marketing community. BAARC's assistance is provided with complete confidentiality to maintain the dignity and privacy of all grant recipients.

Our annual BAARC BASH was a huge success!
Held on May 15th, it not only marked our 25th anniversary but Mayor Gavin Newsom proclaimed the day officially as Bay Area Advertising Relief Committee Day.

This signature event annually raises funds for grants to members of the advertising, marketing and public relations community. Grants are given to those who have experienced a financial, medical, or life crisis and need financial support and community resources assistance. Thanks to all who attended and participated in this lively luncheon which is helping your industry colleagues who are in need.

Each year at the BAARC Bash the "Friend of BAARC Award" is bestowed upon outstanding individuals or companies for extraordinary service to the Bay Area Advertising Relief Committee. This year's recipients were McCann Worldgroup and Entercom.

Spring Fling Mixer ... A networking success held on March 26 at Pier 23. It raised awareness and generated interest in BAARC. Thanks to Lisa Gibello, Greg Wilson and others for making this fun event happen.
Annual Meeting & Social ... Thanks to all of BAARC's friends and supporters who attended on January 15th. We appreciate your support in kicking off BAARC's 25th Anniversary year.
Our 4th Annual McCann Roof Top Party ... Held September 18, 2008, at the Universal McCann Worldwide office was a smashing success! More than 200 members of the San Francisco advertising and marketing community celebrated the "official" start of summer in San Francisco with a wonderful evening of great food and drink, terrific jazz and the dynamite company of their colleagues. Best of all we raised more than $10,000 to help support BAARC's mission of providing emergency financial support to members of our community. Special thanks to UMW for the use of their spectacular roof-top setting, to our generous BAARC Rooftop Sponsors and to all of you who stopped by to celebrate and contribute to a successful event!
